More than ever before, the music of the post war era has stood the test of time. The pop music of that era was written and produced by teams of legends to be performed and interpreted by the biggest stars of that time. These songs have been enjoyed again and again for generation after generation. The artists that performed this music are still considered some of the greatest musical brands of all time. These are artists whose names are still recognizable worldwide, many years after their passing. These artists and their musc, still define powerful emotions and a feeling of well being that came out of the post war era and continues to some extent even today.

Hindsight Records, has a large catalogue of some of "the greatest music of all time." Much of the music is perhaps special broadcast performances as well as odd sessions between the artists and their favorite trios such as Doris Day with the Page Cavanaugh Trio or Patti Page with the Lou Stein Trio. These special performances have a joy and passion that sometimes aren't part of larger major label recording efforts. The often impromptu and always magical sessions, illustrate the spirit of style and freedom of expression that permeate and define the art of music.

Hindsight, with approval and permission of the artist's estates and executors, collects these historic recordings to be refined and enhanced. The process of audio forensics starts with the song selection then continues with state of the art analysis, enhancement and mastering. After this enhancement is completed, the recordings are then handed over to the music producer to be augmented with the orchestra. Orchestral arrangements and band size change from artist to artist ranging from a 12 piece chamber ensemble to 48 strings and winds. Once the orchestra is recorded, the new recordings are then mixed and mastered using the latest state of the art techniques.

The first such "reimagined" project was Doris Day "With Love" that featured the Page Cavanaugh Trio and the Sentimental Orchestra, conducted by John Forbes. The second reimagined project was Patti Page and the Lou Stein Trio featuring the Sentimental Orchestra with John Forbes again handling the conductor duties. Two more projects scheduled for release include Kay Starr as well as the glorious Sarah Vaughn, both including the Sentimental Orchestra.

These new recordings encapsulate the magic of the original performances as well as elevating these moments with an energy and luster that these artists truly deserve. The final results of these efforts, makes this great music available to audiences for generations to come.
